Sol Counseling PLLC
About Me
My name is Lucero Alegre, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate (LMHCA) in Washington State. I enjoy being outside with my husband, son and our dog; and spending time with family.

I became a counselor because I know what it feels like to live between two worlds. I was born in Mexico and raised in Washington State, growing up as an immigrant and the child of immigrant parents. Navigating two cultures meant learning a new language, adjusting to a different way of life, and facing the culture shock that comes with balancing who you are with where you are. I experienced firsthand the weight of generational trauma, the complexity of breaking cycles while honoring where I come from, and the deep gratitude I hold for the sacrifices my family made to build a life here.
Through my own journey of healing, self-discovery, and empowerment, I found a deep calling to help others who are navigating similar challenges. Whether it’s managing cultural expectations, addressing identity struggles, or processing intergenerational wounds, I understand how layered and personal these experiences can be.
As a counselor, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported. My lived experience allows me to meet clients with empathy and a culturally informed perspective. It is a privilege to walk alongside others as they find their voice, challenge internalized narratives, and build a life that feels true to who they are.

Approach
Through the integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness practices, I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space that fosters growth and healing. My goal is to meet you where you are, helping you navigate your unique challenges with humility and compassion.
Experience
With over fifteen years of experience as a school counselor and in nonprofit settings, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals in their journeys toward mental wellness. I understand the importance of creating a safe environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.
I hold a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling with ESA Certification Emphasis from City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Seattle University.
